5 / 5 based on 3 reviewsInitially I was going to purchase a Pacific drum set from guitar center, but a friend of mine told me to look for Slingerland. I did and I discovered musicyo.com. The drum set I bought was 400 dollars and well worth it. The resonance is perfect as well as the shell construction.
The price of the drum set was what first made me decide to buy it. But after I got it I was pleased with the sound that I got from a set that didn't burn a hole in my pocket.
The only dislike I had for it were the factory heads. But I purchased some remo heads and the drums sounded so sweet.
The construction was that of superior quality. When I was putting my set together I was surprised at how well the shells were built. The hardware is no exception, it is all top notch.
If you want the best buy you can get any where for a great drum set, go to www.musicyo.com. The service from musicyo was great, and there Slingerland products are even better.

excellent value for the money. Toms really bang and the bass is really got some sack.
Need to upgrade the heads understandable with a factory kit.
The drums are top rate the finish is first class.
Best bang for the buck. Compare to Pearl Forum series at half the price. Super set for the money. Upgrade to the pro hardware and purchase some nice cymbals Zildjian, Sabian etc. and you will have a fist rate kit.

I bought my set from MusicYo for $399, complete! I needed an acoustic drum set for my recording studio and decided to try the Jam Session set.
First, let me say that the set sounds and looks just fantastic! The whole kit has real tone and records very well to digital or analog tape.
I can't gripe, but if I must, including a throne for a few more bucks would have been nice.
However, I had one in the studio, ready for use. Several clients have chosen to play the Jam Session kit instead of bringing their own drums in. They were that impressed with the quality of construction and the sound.
I could have paid the same amount for a single bass drum, but got a great kit, all for $399! Do it, do it, do it! I have bought a number of different products from MusicYo, including a P.A., guitar amps, wireless microphones, guitars, and picks. I am amazed at the consistent quality and value! This allows me to hide my $5,000 to $20,000 vintage guitars and amps, and my clients are still delighted with the instruments I make available for their use!
